Budget

Today, Rock County Administrator Craig Knutson will release his budget. It is important for me to hear from my constituents on their thoughts on the budget. Please contact me at any time and let me know your thoughts.

Monday, November 2 at 9:00 a.m. the County Board will have a budget review with administration.

Wednesday, November 4 at 6:00 p.m., there will be a public hearing on the budget. Tuesday, November 10 at 9:00 a.m. will be the adoption of the budget.


Please attend as many of these meetings as possible and stay involved with us!

Approval of ATC Funding

Last night, we took action on two separate resolutions - one from the land conservation committee, and one from the parks committee to decide how to split one-time ATC environmental impact funds - $1.8 million.

The land conservation resolution was approved with overwhelming support:

$740,000 for a purchase of development rights program ($290,oo actual cost; $450,000 banked for matching grants)
$155,988 for a continuous hazardous waste clean sweep program.
$10,000 to restore county-owned property on the county campus along Highway 51
